For more than four years, Dan has operated the insurance and consulting firm of Hiett Insurance and Consulting Service. The primary reason for opening the firm was to provide a level of service that larger, multi line agencies are not able to provide. Our level of benefits knowledge surpasses any insurance agency in the area because we specialize in group insurance products for small to medium sized employers. We are committed to you as an important client not just a customer. Our goal is to develop a relationship that allows us to be one of your most trusted advisers.

Prior to opening Hiett Insurance and Consulting Services, Dan was Vice President of Pearl Benefits. Dan lead the employee benefits division of Pearl Companies with responsibilities for managing sales, marketing and administration functions with expertise in developing benefits and plan design recommendations. Dan proactively analyzed profit and loss statements for customers, and assisted in proficient utilization of data and claims. In his time at Pearl, Dan lead a team of professionals in
managing budgets, new business, retention, renewals, claims, distribution, and data analysis. In his time leading Pearl Benefits, his team achieved the largest annual growth in company history while attaining a retention rate of 99%.

Prior to joining Pearl, Dan sold and serviced group insurance plans for Grant Bullis Agency for 13 years. There he specialized in data analysis and consulting for fully insured and self-funded employer health plans. This experience included managing plans for multiple municipalities and school districts. He was also responsible for obtaining and strengthening relationships with carriers through strategy, organization and communication. As a broker, Dan issued requests for proposals, and interviewed insurance carriers and third party administrators to secure the best plans for each client. He brings 20 years of insurance sales and management experience with a professional repertoire that includes S.E. Lillie and Associates in Avon, Illinois and Prudential Financial in Galesburg, Illinois. In these positions he amplified his sales and marketing skills for all lines of insurance to customers as a qualified broker representative.

At Hiett Insurance, Dan continues to build significant relationships with clients, responding to their personal needs and requests. As a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) he exhibits a strong work ethic to provide the best service possible.
